Wind Lake Youth Baseball recreational leagues are made up of kids from K4 through 12th grade that are looking for a safe and fun local baseball and fastpitch experience. The leagues are managed and coached by local parents and provide opportunities for kids of all sizes and skill level to get to play and learn life and baseball / fastpitch skills and have fun with their friends doing it. The 7+ year olds will have the opportunity to play on teams of 11 to 13 kids of varying ability, play in 11 to 14 games and participate in 2 to 8 "Spring training" practices, weather permitting. The 4 through 7 year olds will play on teams of 6. They will play 7 to 10 games, once a week. The last traditional game is on the Meyer Park Diamonds were the older kids play! Total Cost of the Recreational Program: 2024
WLYB is a 100% volunteer run and funded baseball and fast pitch club. To be part of the club, each family is pay league fees, and encouraged to participate in both volunteering activities to reduce total cost of the rec program.
Benefits:
Each player will receive a team hat, jersey which are yours to keep. Players will receive coaching from dedicated, local parents, instilling baseball and softball skills, along with life skills as well. Players will have "Spring Training" practices, weather permitting, before they play their regular season games and Tournaments.
Teeball (4 & 5 year olds)
-Practices start last week in April and Games start in May on Wednesdays 5:45p. All games played at Meyer Park, Wind Lake.

Rookie (1st & 2nd Graders) -
Practices start in April and Games start in May on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:00 pm. Racine County Youth Baseball. Season will start using a pitching machine and will transition to kid pitch. Rookie season consists of a kickoff tournament, 10 regular season games(5 home, 5 away), a mid-season tournament, an all-star game, playoffs, and a World Series. . Home games are played at Meyer Park or Heg Park and away games are played at the other communities, Raymond, Union Grove & Yorkville.

Minors (3rd & 4th Graders)-
Practices start in April and Games start in May on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. Season consists of a kickoff tournament, 12 regular season games (6 home, 6 away), a mid-season tournament, an all-star game, playoffs, and a World Series. Home games are played at Meyer Park and away games are played at the other communities, Raymond, Union Grove and Yorkville.

Pony (7th to 9th Graders)
-Practices start in April and Games start in May on Wednesday and Fridays at 6:00 pm. Racine County Youth Baseball. The Pony season consists of a kickoff tournament, 16 regular season games(8 home, 8 away), a mid-season tournament, an all-star game, playoffs, and a World Series. Home games are played at Meyer Park and away games are played at the other communities.

Pony Registration Rules: Pony registration is open to 7th to 9th graders with an exception.
1. If you make your freshman team, regardless of age, you are ineligible for Pony but can play in Senior.
Note: If you sign up for Pony but then make the HS team. WLYB will refund just your registration fee.
Pintos (2nd to 5th Grade) - More skilled 5th graders are recommended to register for Juniors)-
*13 Player Rule: Register early, our 13 player per team rule is in effect. The first 13 players will automatically be placed on a team. If your child is outside the 13 we will try to form a 2nd team if a 2nd team is not formed you will be completely refunded. Email notifications will be sent during this process.
