2019 TEE BALL & JR. PEE WEE HEAD COACHES
Lightning Guidelines & Policy for Tee ball & Jr Peewee Games
a.) When Thunder is heard or a cloud-to-ground lightning bolt is seen, the leading edge of the thunderstorm is close enough to strike your location with lightning. Suspend play for 15 MINUTES and take shelter immediately (return to your vehicles).
b.) Fifteen minute rule- Once play has been suspended, wait at least 15 min. after the last thunder is heard or flash of lightning is witnessed prior to resuming play.
c.) Any subsequent thunder or lightning after the beginning of the 15 min. count will reset the clock and another 15 min. count should begin.
Coaches will be notified by 5:15pm for Tee Ball and 6:15pm for Jr. Peewee for weather cancellations erring on the side of caution. Information will also be posted to our Facebook page.
*All games that are cancelled must be made up within 2 weeks of cancellation date.
